In February 2024, we were invited to visit the newly opened Slice House by Tony Gemignani in Folsom. This world-famous pizza chain was already familiar to us because we were frequent customers to the Haight-Ashbury location when we lived in San Francisco many years ago. We are thrilled to have a location open up in the Sacramento area!
Our visit to Slice House included a taste test of all the pizza flavors on their menu, which meant for a very indulgent lunch! I am confidently tell you that it was some of the best pizza I’ve ever eaten in my life. After trying all these flavors for myself, I really understand all the hype around this pizza chain.

Slice House Knows How to Craft the Perfect Slice of Pizza
At Slice House, every pizza tells a story—a story of tradition, innovation, and authenticity. Of course you’ll find the classics like cheese and pepperoni (which is great for the kids), but in my opinion the magic comes from the innovative flavors. The pizza toppings include fresh, local and artisanal veggies, cheeses and ingredients. There’s also a variety of pizza crust options, meaning there’s something for everyone.

Vampire Killer Pizza
I’m starting with a Folsom-exclusive pizza, and probably my favorite one that I tasted during our visit. This grandma style crust pizza has black garlic ricotta, cup n char sausage, green onions, El Dorado Honey Co. local honey, hot pepper oil, mozzarella, Romano, oregano and garlic oil. The garlic flavors mix so well with the honey!
Sweet Gino Pizza
Sweet Tomato Sauce, Sliced Avorio & Ovoline Mozzarella, Basil & Sea Salt
Chicken Bacon Ranch Pizza
This pizza is a New York Style crust and is made with mozzarella, chicken, applewood smoked bacon, ranch dressing, cherry tomatoes, green onion, oregano, Romano and garlic oil.
